The It's BRAW festival runs annually throughout August. The aim is to showcase and promote the range of creative activities available across the town, focusing on Art, Craft, Drama and Music. Events are held in various locations around the town and a full list can be found on their website www.itsbraw.scot

For the festival we host a wide range of craft workshops throughout August to give people a chance to try out different crafts and maybe find one they want to take further.

These were attended by nearly 60 people where participants were able to try their hand at making beaded window hangings, studded purses, macrame plant hangers, fabric seascape pictures, and brooches, as well as printing bags, collage and decoupage.

In 2023 the event was funded by National Lottery, which meant all events were offered for free.
